Our Product
Hot slaw like ours is a unique Bradley County, Tennessee tradition. A deliciously spicy blend of cabbage, onion and peppers, it was created and made a household word by a local drive-in theater owner in the '50's and 60's, and is still wildly popular. No self-respecting Bradley Countian would ever think of serving barbeque or hot dogs without it! We would now like to share it with the rest of the world, as a most tasty complement to your favorite foods or simply by itself! We're pretty sure you're going to love it too.
Our Story
Lots of local folks around Bradley County have a hot slaw recipe, most variants of the original one served by the old Star-Vue drive-in theater in years past. Our namesake, Lloyd Callaway (aka "Fuzz"), was a true hot slaw connoisseur, and loved to make it for his family and friends. Thus, a visit to the Callaway home usually yielded a mason jar of hot slaw to take home with you. Over the years, many many Bradley Countians have enjoyed "Fuzz's Hot Slaw". Sadly, Fuzz left us a couple of years ago and we lost that gregarious personality who loved to entertain and feed people. As the daughter and "adopted daughter" of Fuzz, we'd like to carry on his legacy and recipe and share it with the rest of the world.
Our Mission
Our mission is to share our well-loved hot slaw with folks outside of Bradley County, Tennessee. We commit to making a high-quality product by only using the freshest and best quality ingredients for Fuzz's Hot Slaw. Our product is currently available at the Chattanooga Market and retail locations listed below, but also available in bulk for parties, etc. upon request.
